Institutional strengthening for health training institutes
Training institutions such as public health schools, medical faculties, paramedical schools and management training institutes are responsible for equipping service providers with the competencies they need to provide quality health services.
These training institutes can improve their performance by investigating the health sector's training needs and becoming involved in health sector planning. In the face of competition, they need to develop a strong profile, with a vision of their training methodology and clearly defined target groups. They need mechanisms to ensure the quality of their courses and provide evidence of the link between the courses offered and the needs of the health sector.
International Course in Health Development (ICHD/MPH)
In this programme, senior health managers develop their capacity to address public health problems in their country.
Master of International Health (MIH)
The MIH prepares medical doctors and paramedical staff for a career in international health.
