KIT Biomedical Research has a unique position in the field of essential diagnostics:  new scientific developments in the field of diagnostics are developed into products and policies, which are relevant to and applicable in developing countries.

 

KIT BR has record of accomplishment and international reputation in the field of essential diagnostics: e.g. KIT BR invented LED-FM for detection of tuberculosis which has been endorsed by WHO and is now widely in use, the DAT diagnostic assay is the gold standard for diagnosis of visceral leishmaniasis  and simple lateral flow assays for leptospirosis, brucellosis and typhoid fever are widely in diagnostic use.

 

The department is active in different aspects of the diagnostic pipeline; we have expertise, experience and infrastructure to:

  • perform biomarker discovery and develop innovative  test formats
  • proof of principle to the manufacturing of production lots. Manufacturing of production lots.
