This conference was aimed at practitioners, activists and academics to gather and reflect on almost 20 years of experience in gender studies and training. Participants from fifteen countries attended, presenting papers and engaging in critical discussions about the current state of gender training. They included prominent international researchers and academics, policy makers and practitioners from Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Europe and North America.
The conference was sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands; the Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norway; and the UK Department for International Development (DFID). KIT wishes to thank all the organizations for their support.
