ADI - Africa Development Indicators *
ADI Online is the premier data source on the African economy. Africa Development Indicators Online contains data for over 1,200 statistical indicators, and time series from 1965 for 53 countries. Data include social, economic, financial, natural resources, infrastructure, governance, partnership, and environmental indicators. In addition to the valuable data, each year ADI Online also brings an essay on a key topic for Africa
African Journals OnLine *
AJOL is a database of journals published in Africa, covering the full range of academic disciplines. The objective of AJOL is to give greater visibility to the participating journals, and to the research they convey.
AnthroSource *

The American Economic Association’s electronic bibliography, EconLit, indexes more than thirty years of economics literature from around the world. Compiled and abstracted in an easily searchable format, EconLit is a comprehensive index of journal articles, books, book reviews, collective volume articles, working papers and dissertations.
EL@ND - European Libraries Network for Development
The ELAND service provides access to a wealth of development information resources held by institutes in different parts of Europe. It covers some of the best specialist development research libraries, as well as leading online information sources. Altogether, more than 1 million individual records can be accessed. ELAND allows eleven separate databases to be searched from one screen. There are a variety of search and browse options and results can be viewed in several different ways.
Eldis - Gateway to Development Information
Eldis is the gateway to online information on development policy, practice and research. Coverage includes social, economic, political and environmental issues. It provides descriptions and links to a variety of information sources, including websites, databases, library catalogues, bibliographies, email discussion lists, research project information, map and newspaper collections. Thousands of full text documents are available free to download. The Resource Guides and Dossiers offer easy access to information on a wide rage of subjects, while the Country Profiles provide regional and country specific information.
EMBASE *
EMBASE is a biomedical and pharmacological database which gives you access to the most up-to-date information about medical and drug-related subjects. EMBASE contains over 11 million records from 1974 to present, with 600,000++ citations and abstracts added annually. Each record contains the full bibliographic citation, indexing terms and codes; 80% of all citations in EMBASE include author-written abstracts. The EMBASE journal collection is international with over 5,000 biomedical journals from 70 countries.
FAO Corporate Document Repository
The FAO Corporate Document Repository houses FAO documents and publications, as well as selected non-FAO publications, in electronic format. It enables users to easily access the accumulated knowledge and information produced by FAO directly on the Internet. The easiest way to search is to use the text box provided above in this page. The advanced search provides the user with the means to carry out a specific search, by querying a particular field or combination of fields.
GDF Online - Global Development Finance *
GDF Online provides access to statistical data for the 135 countries that report public and publicly-guaranteed debt to the World Bank Debtor Reporting System. The database covers external debt stocks and flows, major economic aggregates, and key debt ratios as well as average terms of new commitments, currency composition of long-term debt, debt restructuring, and scheduled debt service projections.
KIT Tropenmuseum Collection
The collection of the Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam contains more than 300,000 objects and historical photographs. This website enables you to browse these collections and view the related documentation. The documentation has been subdivided in separate categories, being either Constituents, Events, exhibitions or literature. At this moment the Tropenmuseum’s entire collection contains over 254,000 pieces, of which 155,000 are Material Culture (objects), 89,000 are Photographic material (photographs, albums, slides, negatives etc.), and 10,000 other imagery (drawings, paintings, graphics, documents etc.).
NARCIS
NARCIS provides access to 220,053 scientific publications (172,690 of which are full-text publications), 4,481 data sets, and information on researchers (expertise), research projects and research institutes in the Netherlands.
Open J-Gate *
Open J-Gate is an electronic gateway to global journal literature in open access domain. Open J-Gate provides access to millions of journal articles available online, with links to full text at publisher sites. Open J-Gate is also a database of journal literature, indexed from 3000+ open access journals, with links to full text at Publisher sites.
PubMed *
PubMed is a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine that includes over 18 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. PubMed includes links to full text articles and other related resources.
SciELO - Scientific Electronic Library Online *
SciELO is a model for cooperative electronic publishing of scientific journals on the Internet. Especially conceived to meet the scientific communication needs of developing countries, particularly Latin America and the Caribbean countries, it provides an efficient way to assure universal visibility and accessibility to their scientific literature, contributing to overcome the phenomena known as "lost science". In addition, the SciELO model comprises integrated procedures for the measurement of usage and impact of scientific journals.

ScienceDirect is the world's largest electronic collection of science, technology and medicine full text and bibliographic information. Since its launch in 1997, ScienceDirect has evolved from a web database of Elsevier journals to one of the world's largest providers of scientific, technical and medical (STM) literature.

Search4Dev is an online library for digital publications of Dutch organizations in the international development cooperation sector. Search4Dev offers quick and easy access to these publications. In addition to bibliographic details, you will always find a link to the full text version of a publication.
SVCN - Stichting Volkenkundige Collectie Nederland
Op deze site worden de collecties van het Wereldmuseum, Museum Volkenkunde, Museon, Afrikamuseum Berg en Dal en het Tropenmuseum gezamenlijk getoond als één volkenkundige collectie. De objecten op de site zijn voorzien van een contextuele schil. Die schil, bestaande uit enkele duizende teksten, is een resultaat van het project “Collection in context”. Er is gewerkt aan een arrangeerinstrument, waarmee teksten van de SVCN-site en Kennisnet kunnen worden samengevoegd, zodat bezoekers van de site in combinatie met afbeeldingen een eigen verhaal kunnen samenstellen, en deze bewaren in de zogenaamde Contentcorner.

The database Agriculture and Environment for Developing Regions (TROPAG) is a comprehensive information service for researchers and experts interested in agriculture and environmental management in the developing countries. All tropical crops are covered, including rice, coffee, cocoa, sugar cane and many others. Poultry, cattle, goats, rabbits, sheep and camels are all included. The international literature on agricultural production is part of the focus on "Production and processing". This is complemented by a focus on "Agricultural development" and a focus on "Environmental management", giving comprehensive coverage of the issues relevant to agriculture in the developing countries of Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean.

World Bank e-Library
The World Bank e-Library is an, online, fully cross-searchable portal of over 4500 World Bank documents. The collection consists of over 1600 World Bank publications and over 2400 Policy Research Working Papers, plus each book and paper as they are published.
The World Bank Open Data
The Data Catalog provides download access to over 2,000 indicators from World Bank data sources.
WDI Online - World Development Indicators *
WDI Online is the premiere data source on the global economy. It contains statistical data for over 850 development indicators and time series data from 1960-2007 (selected data for 2007) for over 185 countries and 18 country groups. Data includes social, economic, financial, natural resources, and environmental indicators. Data selection screens are intuitive and easy to use. Results can be scaled, indexed against a particular year, viewed by percentage change, and charted. These features plus data export options in standard formats like Excel make WDI Online the most useful tool yet for researching developmental data.
