Literature search

Visitors can request a literature search on a specific development related subject. The searches are based on the KIT collections, but also on related libraries, other relevant databases and other sources on the Internet. Fees are available on request.

Alertservice (SDI), Acquisition lists and RSS feeds

Alert service (SDI service) Based on a personal interest profile, you receive regularly in your mailbox an list with recently added publications to the Library collection and relevant websites. Costs of this service are available on request.
Alert service (SDI service) for developing countries: One of the goals of KIT ILS is to support organizations and professionals in the developing world in the strengthening and expansion of their information services. This free SDI (Selective dissemination of information), including document delivery, was developed to help KIT ILS achieve this goal.
Acquisition lists and RSS: You can subscribe for an e-mail alert for the latest acquisitions on the following subjects: Agriculture; Culture; Economy; Environment; Gender; Health; Politics: Social Conditions. Please contact the KIT Library. You can also opt for receiving alerts via RSS feeds.

Tours and exibitions

ToursThe library offers tours by appointment for groups of students and teachers. During the tour, a brief explanation is given about the collection, the search system and new digital library services. 
 

Exhibition space: The Information & Library Services department of the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) has made the library available as a public exhibition space for artists.
