Debate on investing in Africa
A debate on issues around social investments in Africa was held at KIT on 10 November 2010. What are the investors’ challenges and how can investment contribute to pro-poor development? What do development experts think about these outcomes, and how can the Dutch government on development cooperation deal with these topics?
During the debate, the outcomes of a round table meeting organized at KIT on 7 September 2010 were presented. Chaired by Herman Wijffels, the round table brought together investment banking professionals and experts on innovative social investment to debate the challenges and solutions to investing in Africa.
