New diagnostics needed to detect malaria infection during pregnancy
14 May 2012Malaria left untreated has major implications for mother and child. But because of a lack of diagnostic tools, malaria in pregnant women is often not recognized in time. Collaboration between Sudan and Royal Tropical Institute
4 May 2012A delegation from the Federal Ministry of Health of Sudan visited the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) from 1-2 May. Mr Nazar Elfaki, the Director of Policy and Planning for Human Resource Development at the Federal Ministry of Health of Soedan, was a visiting Erasmus Mundus scholar at KIT in February 2012. This week, he visited KIT with his colleague Dr Elmuez Eltayeb Ahmed, Director General of Human Resources for Health Development of the same ministry. -
