Cochrane Library *
The Cochrane Library contains high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. It includes reliable evidence from Cochrane and other systematic reviews, clinical trials, and more. Cochrane reviews bring you the combined results of the world’s best medical research studies, and are recognised as the gold standard in evidence-based health care.
EMBASE *
EMBASE is a biomedical and pharmacological database which gives you access to the most up-to-date information about medical and drug-related subjects. EMBASE contains over 11 million records from 1974 to present, with 600,000++ citations and abstracts added annually. Each record contains the full bibliographic citation, indexing terms and codes; 80% of all citations in EMBASE include author-written abstracts. The EMBASE journal collection is international with over 5,000 biomedical journals from 70 countries.
Health Systems Evidence
Health Systems Evidence is a continuously updated repository of syntheses of research evidence about governance, financial and delivery arrangements within health systems, and about implementation strategies that can support change in health systems.
PubMed *
PubMed is a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine that includes over 18 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. PubMed includes links to full text articles and other related resources.
ScienceDirect *
ScienceDirect is the world's largest electronic collection of science, technology and medicine full text and bibliographic information. Since its launch in 1997, ScienceDirect has evolved from a web database of Elsevier journals to one of the world's largest providers of scientific, technical and medical (STM) literature.
Limited visiting hours Reading Room
The Library is closed Monday, May 28. The Reading Room is closed at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 23. The KIT Library is open! Visiting hours are Monday through Thursday 10 am till 5 pm.
