KIT Library
KIT Library is part of KIT's department Information & Library Services (KIT ILS) and offers you via its online Library catalogue scientific publications and maps with current information on development issues and developing countries. KIT Library also provides access to electronic journals and external scientific databases on culture, health and sustainable development. The KIT Library collection includes unique heritage material about former colonies in general and the Dutch colonies in particular.

In the context of concentration of information services in the area of development in the Netherlands, KIT provides information services to several organizations, such as Doctors without Borders, ICCO, NCDO, Oikos and PharmAccess.

KIT has digitized its remarkable Dutch colonial map colllection and made it available online. One of the largest collections of maps of the former Dutch colonies is thereby accessible via Internet for scientists, cartographers and other interested parties in the Netherlands and abroad.
