Surinamese paintings in the KIT Library

1 November 2011The department Information & Library Services of the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT ILS) is involved in the organization of a training-of-trainer s (TOT) workshop on the use of an open-source library system. The aim is to strengthen the capacity of university libraries in Mozambique and Zimbabwe in the provision of modern service delivery. -

The portal offers timely and informative content on the issue. The website serves as a platform for sharing knowledge on the current use, potential and limitations of mHealth in low-resource settings and allows greater interaction with its users. -
New dossier: World Health Champion Game
23 December 2010The World Health Champion Game has been developed by KIT Development Policy and Practice in collaboration with KIT Information & Library Services, with the support of the Ministry of Development Cooperation. The primary target group being participants of Master’s programmes in Public & International Health. The dossier introduces the Game and presents the PDFs of the board, the instructions and rules, and the questions and answers of the game. -
World AIDS Day in the KIT Library
1 December 2010On Wednesday 1 December it is World AIDS Day. In the KIT Library we have made a thematic bookcase of our book collection on HIV/AIDS. We have also put together a special literature list, which contains recent articles and books from the collection. -
First KIT portal for library developments
25 November 2010KIT Information & Library Services (ILS) has launched a new portal concerning library development aiming to contribute to information management and knowledge sharing in low-resource settings. The portal Librarianship in the South was established in association with the project partners of KIT ILS. Information resources (including e-publications, websites, databases, videos and photographs) are entirely and freely accessible. The portal has been online for a few months now and can be followed on Facebook and Twitter. -
KIT and Elsevier drive research usage and access to Elsevier's databases for 150 organizations in developing countries
2 September 2010Elsevier and KIT have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) providing 150 researchers working in least-developed and low-income countries with access to ScienceDirect and Scopus, Elsevier’s online scientific research platform and flagship abstract and citation database.
