Reference management tools help researchers and students to collect, maintain, share and publish literature references efficiently and in accordance with international standards. Nowadays a whole range of computerized tools for reference management is available, some online, others stand-alone, some commercial, others for free, each with its own merits and demerits. The course will focus on general principles of reference management, using one or two particular tools as examples. Depending on the client’s needs, the course may also focus on a comparison between selected tools.
Participants in the course will be researchers, students and/or library staff involved in end user training, and their supervisors. The course is not restricted to any particular tool, but will use the tool or tools that are of interest to the client.
