Many sub-Saharan countries have shown stable growth in recent years and the risk from investing is considered as being similar to that of other emerging markets.

Management skills, sound corporate governance and efficient boards are key requirements for reducing (the perception of) risks and attracting much-needed investment capital for medium-sized companies in the region.

The Governance University and the Royal Tropical Institute aim to contribute to the need for qualified board members in sub-Saharan companies through a programme on Boards and Governance in Africa.
