Specialised markets, requiring fair trade or organic certification, or for export, are potentially more reliable and lucrative supply routes for ACP farmers. That often means the products have to meet strict standards, with documentation detailing every step of the value chain. In order to comply with these requirements, farmers are using ICTs to learn new cultivation and processing techniques, and to make new market connections.
