Materials such as Leptospira reference strains, culture media, rabbit reference sera and mouse monoclonal antibodies are distributed and typing and epidemiological services are offered.
As a not-for-profit organization, KIT Biomedical Research charges only costs covering production, transport and handling of the requested materials and services albeit that costs are differentiated towards other not-for-profit institutions and commercial organizations.

Within this scope it provides essential reference materials and services for leptospirosis diagnosis and research at a global scale on a not-for-profit basis taking into account a solidarity principle in which those who can afford it contribute in costs for those who suffer from financial constraints.
