Improving governance at the local level is one of the ways to achieve equitable and sustainable growth and reduce poverty. This portal focuses on approaches to support decentralization processes and to strengthen institutions for rural economic development and public service delivery.
Background
The information portal on Rural Decentralization and Local Governance is an interdepartmental initiative. It is developed and managed by KIT Information and Library Services with support from KIT Development, Policy & Practice, area Sustainable Economic Development. The target audience is formed by the global community of professionals (researchers, practitioners) involved in rural decentralization and local governance.
Updating frequency
The portal will be updated with news, events and other content on a regular basis aiming to provide access to key topical information. However, we can not take responsibility for the content or correctness of external resources.
