Orange the World – KIT goes orange

This year, KIT is turning orange as part of Orange the World, the global UN Women campaign against violence against women and girls. The campaign takes place every year from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day. By illuminating our building in orange, we draw attention to this important campaign and highlight the work we do worldwide for gender equality and women’s rights.

The gender specialists at KIT Institute are committed to equal opportunities for everyone, with particular attention to women, girls, and people from vulnerable or marginalized groups, such as non-binary and LGBTQA+ communities. With a feminist and broad perspective on inequality, we advise organizations and governments on projects related to areas such as agriculture, health, and economic inclusion. We ensure that awareness of gender and equity becomes a structural part of policies and everyday working practices, and we train teams to work in a more gender-sensitive and inclusive way. With over 30 years of experience, we know what truly works and how to achieve sustainable and fair change, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Greater gender equality demonstrably contributes to reducing violence against women, because more equal societies leave less room for abuse of power and harmful gender norms.
