Businesswoman Rahma El Mouden presents first book to Neelie Kroes

Rahma el Mouden (1959) launched her autobiography ‘The road to my freedom’ at the KIT Royal Tropical Institute. The first copy of the book was presented to VVD-coryfee and former vice-president of the European Commission Neelie Kroes.

The book tells the inspiring story of Rahma’s life: how she moved to the Netherlands from Morocco at sixteen years old, worked her way to the top with her own cleaning company. Rahma founded the Amsterdam Multicultural Cleaning Company (MAS) in 1997.
El Mouden was chosen Black Businesswoman of the Year in 1999. Now, twenty years later, about 500 employees work for the company and the Rijksmuseum, KIT Royal Tropical Insitute, Endemol and A’Dam Tower belong to the company’s clientele.

The road to my freedom is an inspiring book about emancipation and entrepreneurship, staying true to your beliefs and following your heart.
