I am Prakamya Gupta. I hold an Research Master of Science in Genomics from the University of Edinburgh and a PhD in Neuroscience from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. I am interested in, amongst other things: Drones for healthcare logistics, healthcare technologies and MedTech innovation. Previously I have worked in India as a scientist at the Indian Council of Medical Research and at the National Health Systems Resource Centre of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India.
I strongly believe that healthcare innovations have the power to transform lives. For example: Technical solutions can best integrate rural needs and therefore promote health equity.

“ Technological solutions can aid in accessible, affordable and quality healthcare services to the underprivileged. ” ”
Incorporating technology solutions to improve health in India
Technology solutions such as indigenous medical devices & diagnostic products, telemedicine, artificial intelligence and drone technology can best integrate rural needs and promote health equity. These technological solutions can aid in accessible, affordable and quality healthcare services to the underprivileged.
The eclectic environment at KIT and the Master’s course will help me understand the health system holistically, thus helping me incorporate more healthcare innovations into the system and improve health outcomes in India.
