Contribute Foundation enables study for two health workers

KIT Fund is grateful for the generous support of Contribute Foundation, which has enabled two talented health professionals to receive a full KIT Fund scholarship to study the Master of Public Health and Health Equity programme at KIT from 2025 to 2026. This investment in knowledge and leadership contributes to positive changes in healthcare worldwide.

Passing on to the next person who needs it

Because they believe that everyone deserves a fair chance, Contribute Foundation provides financial support to projects. ‘Contribute was established because its founders believe that giving is the new receiving,’ according to the Foundation. All projects they support focus on the self-reliance of people with a long-term vision.

With Contribute, the founders want to inspire themselves and those they support and create a new way of thinking in which giving a helping hand will be passed on to the next person who needs it.

Increasing impact after graduation

The aim to pass a helping hand on aligns beautifully with the impact that healthcare professionals make after completing their master’s programme at KIT. The two scholarship students who can pursue their studies thanks to the Contribute Foundation, will be able to take on leadership roles after graduation, thereby increasing their impact and structurally improving healthcare for hundreds of thousands of people.

A shared ambition

Contribute Foundation strives to bring about significant improvements in the world by contributing to freedom, independence, fair opportunities, a safe environment and good education. Their support for two KIT Fund scholarships fits perfectly with this ambition. After all, a year of study at KIT can make a difference to the health of thousands of people, as doctors, nurses and other health workers apply their knowledge in their field of work. With the experience and knowledge gained during the master’s programme, they can progress to influential positions in ministries and international organisations.

We are extremely grateful to Contribute Foundation for their trust in our work and for making these two scholarships possible. Their support provides talented healthcare professionals who know their local context best, with new skills and knowledge. This enables them to improve healthcare where it is most needed.

Students from low(er) income countries are almost always dependent on scholarships to study at KIT. In recent years, scholarship opportunities have rapidly decreased. Thanks to donations from foundation such as Contribute Foundation, as well as from companies and individuals, the KIT Fund is able to award several (partial) scholarships each year to talented health professionals from low- and middle-income countries.
