KIT Fund Welcomes Two New Board Members
The KIT Fund is delighted to welcome two new members to its Board. With a now five‑member Board, we can further strengthen our mission to advance accessible knowledge and support strong, equitable global health systems. A warm welcome to Quinten and Ruben!
“Developing Talent”
Quinten Peelen joins the Board as a general member. He is an independent advisor and currently serves on the boards of Dioraphte and the Jane Goodall Institute Nederland. Previously, he was the director of the K.F. Hein Fund. His extensive experience and deep commitment to nurturing talent align seamlessly with the mission of the KIT Fund.
Reflecting on his motivation, Quinten shares:
“Developing talent and leadership has been a consistent theme throughout my professional life. The KIT Fund is a perfect example of how knowledge development can create a real impact. Every scholarship makes a world of difference. I am very excited to contribute to this work as a Board member!”

“Double Impact”
Ruben joins the KIT Fund as a Treasurer. As Managing Director of Social Finance NL, he works daily from the KIT building. He also serves as Chair of Stichting Avaniem, Board Member at the Institute for Jewish Policy Research, and general board member of the Economics theme group within D66.
Speaking about his motivation to join, Ruben says:
“With the KIT Fund, we create a double impact. Talented young health professionals gain the opportunity to pursue advanced training and reach their full potential. At the same time, we invest in the future of global health systems. I am proud to support that mission as Treasurer of the KIT Fund.”
