Oluwaseun Adekanye
My name is Oluwaseun Adekanye from Nigeria, I studied Bachelor of Science in public health, and I am very passionate about social justice and health equity.
I have work experience in major public health diseases common in developing, low and middle-income countries, Malaria, TB, HIV & AIDS prevention and vulnerable groups project implementation, community health outreach, and supervision. I am currently working with SCIDaR as Program Officer to provide technical support for the Solina Private Sector HIV Initiative program in partnership with IHVN and CDC in Nigeria.
Become better prepared
Pursuing a master of public health (MPH) has been my long-term desire to gain in-depth knowledge and relevant skills in the dimensions of health system, health policy formulation, and management to become better prepared for how to improve the health status of my community and country and contribute to policy-making on challenges around quality health service delivery and utilization.
After my studies at KIT, I would be able to take a senior management role to lead and manage projects as a program manager and help to contribute towards achieving the national target of Universal Health Coverage and Sustainable Development Goals in my country Nigeria, I am most grateful to the KIT Scholarship Fund and donors for this great opportunity.
