Evaluation and assessments

KIT Gender assesses organisations and their programmes from a gender and rights perspective. Our evaluation and assessment work supports organisations to:

  • understand the gendered nature of their organisations and programmes
  • understand the social and gender contexts of their work
  • establish a baseline for their work
  • understand the social and gender impact of their programmes

KIT Gender’s services in this area include baseline data collection and analysis, evaluation and appraisal of projects and programmes, and organisational gender audits. Our rigorous methodology combines qualitative and quantitative research with design, analysis and practical experience. Thus we are able to translate findings and experience into comprehensible and applicable recommendations for action.

We operate in the tradition of feminist inquiry and grounded empirical research in order to bring the reality of gender issues in people’s lives to the forefront of development policy and practice.
