  • Using Geographic Information Systems in disease control programmes
    Course dates: 25-06-2018 to 06-07-2018
    Early Bird rate: if payment is received before 31 March 2018

    This course, is jointly organized by KIT and the International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) Enschede, combines expertise in geographic information systems and its application in disease control.
  • Analysing Disrupted Health Systems in Countries in Crisis
    Course dates: 20-8-2018 to 31-8-2018
    Early Bird rate: if payment is received before 1 May 2018

    This course focuses on the analysis of health systems in countries affected by, or recovering from, protracted crisis. It is organised jointly with the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Save the Children and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
  • Advanced course on Monitoring and Evaluation: Innovations in a dynamic health systems environment 
    Course dates: 20-8-2018 to 31-8-2018
    Early Bird rate: if payment is received before 1 May 2018

    Gain a deeper understanding of the role M&E plays in all aspects of the health system, including the institutional, political, financial, managerial, human resource, inter-sectoral and public health dimensions.
  • Introduction to Laboratory Quality Management
    Course dates: 4-7 September 2018
    Early Bird rate: if payment is received before 4 July 2018
    During this course you will gain the theoretical background and practical expertise required to efficiently implement a quality management system that complies with the requirements of the ISO 15189 international quality standard for medical/public health laboratories.

  • Master in Public Health/International Course in Health Developement
    Course dates: 17-9-2018 to 6-9-2019 (NEW: part-time option possible)
    Do you aspire to work in a management positions in the public health domain? The MPH/ICHD is designed to develop the capacity of senior health managers to use an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to address health problems in their country.
    Participants can choose from the following study tracks:
    – MPH Track in Health Systems Policy and Management
    – MPH Track in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
  • Master in International Health (MIH)
    Start date 10-9-2018, fulltime or parttime option possible (1 up to 5 years)
    If you are a health professional (e.g. medical doctor, nurse, midwife) and you aspire to develop or-/ boost your career in international health, then this programme is designed for you.
    This Master’s in International Health is a flexible programme, allowing for full-time or part-time study.
  • Netherlands Course in Global Health and Tropical Medicine (core course MIH or stand-alone course)
    Start date: 10-9-2018, 3 months (given twice a year)
    The ‘Netherlands Course in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene’ (NTC) provides essential preparation for medical doctors, nurses, midwives and other health professionals who intend to work in low- and middle-income countries or societies. Participants may be preparing to work in a district hospital at the first level of referral, or intend to participate in health care projects with non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

Scholarships Orange Knowledge Programme for short courses in 2019

The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP), former NFP offers scholarships for a number of KIT short courses.
Next application periods for OKP in 2019 will be released in the coming months.
If you are from one of the new 52 OKP countries you are strongly encouraged to keep an eye on our website for updates on registration periods and apply for an OKP scholarship.

Please note that for most short courses taking place in Winter/Spring 2019 the OKP registration period is expected in Autumn 2018. Keep an eye on our website for more up-to-date information.
