You are cordially invited to join us on Monday, December 15th 2025, at Nieuwspoort in The Hague for the event “Health and Prosperity: Stronger Together through Global Health Investment”, which is sponsored by the Gates Foundation.
The Netherlands has long been a leader in global health: combining Dutch expertise, innovation, and investments to advance rights and wellbeing worldwide while supporting its own economic and diplomatic interests.
Yet today’s global health landscape is defined by rapid change: emerging health threats (pandemics, AMR), cuts to international development cooperation, growing pressure on health systems at home and abroad, and pushback against fundamental human rights. These trends require smart, forward-looking investments that support global stability and sustain the Netherlands’ role as a trusted partner on the world stage.
This event offers a timely opportunity, specifically designed for MPs specialising in health and international health ahead of the next cabinet period, to explore and learn more about what global health is, what the global health architecture looks like, how the Netherlands is involved, and what the benefits are of commitment to multilateral cooperation.
