Power of Knowledge at ECTMIH
Join us for a post-conference panel discussion on climate action
This year KIT Royal Tropical Institute will host its Power of Knowledge conference in partnership with ECTMIH. The topic for this year’s discussion will be ‘Enacting climate action and response through meaningful partnerships.’
We look forward to welcoming attendees of ECTMIH 2023 for the mini edition of our annual Power of Knowledge conference at KIT in Amsterdam. At this ECTMIH post-conference event, we will continue the discussion on climate action with a focus on meaningful partnerships.
Panel discussion on partnerships for climate action
You will explore the role companies and organisations play in climate action and response efforts, and how we can achieve climate justice through bold and equitable partnerships. The panel will be hosted by inspirational speakers, who will identify frequently faced challenges and share examples of solutions. This will be followed by group work to develop ideas for position papers, and close with networking over tea and coffee.
To ensure inclusivity, you can join the panel discussion either online or in-person from 10:00 to 12:00. If you are in Amsterdam we would also like to invite you to accompany us on the ‘Witness in Stone’ tour of our building.
Join the ‘Witness in Stone’ tour
We will host one tour before the conference at 09:00. And another tour after the conference, at 1220. This tour critically examines our colonial history through a review of fourteen works of art in and around KIT’s building in Amsterdam.
Witness in Stone is an initiative aimed at decolonisation, and will provide a glimpse into KIT’s colonial history and our decolonisation efforts.
