A New Chapter Begins: KIT Welcomes Class of 2023-2024
We are thrilled to commence the new academic year at KIT Royal Tropical Institute! Last Friday, we proudly welcomed 84 talented and dedicated students from over 20 countries, including 9 with a scholarship from the KIT Fund, to our renowned Master’s in Public Health and Master’s in International Health programmes.
Fadzai from Zimbabwe, who has a background in Development Studies and Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, said: “I am grateful for the KIT Fund scholarship. It has given me the opportunity to further my education and to network with other professionals from different parts of the world, with whom I can build relationships and future collaborations for improving health care in our respective countries.”
“This experience will undoubtedly be a major step towards fulfilling my aspirations to establish an anthropologically and clinically cohesive transformation in reproductive health,” shared Beth, an obstetrician and gynecologist who has worked in one of Ethiopia’s largest university hospitals.
We wish our students embarking on this educational journey all the success!
We express our gratitude to the Orange Knowledge Programme, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, KIT Scholarship Fund and its donors, Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarship Programme, Nuffic Global Development and all the other organisations whose support makes all of this happen.
None of this would be possible without the generous support of our donors. Your commitment to education and global health is truly inspiring.
KIT Fund
This year, 9 healthcare professionals have had their master’s studies expenses fully or partially covered by our KIT Fund.
The students, Bethlehem from Ethiopia, Fadzai from Zimbabwe, Lydia from Malawi, Lestari from Indonesia, Maryanne from Kenya, Suchitra from India, Nana from Egypt, Ramy from Sudan and Santosh from Nepal, are all committed to improving the healthcare not only in their home countries but also worldwide. They believe KIT will push them closer to achieving their goal.
The purpose of our KIT Fund is to raise the money necessary for talented health professionals from all around the world to further their education in our masters for public health and international health. Their expertise and abilities can be valuable assets for facilitating much-needed positive change in the healthcare systems in their home countries.
