Podcast: Talking about the power of convening

KIT Institute, in partnership with the Gaza Health Initiative (GHI), recently hosted the ‘Uniting Knowledge, Resources, and Solidarity: Gaza Health Initiative Conference’ in Amsterdam to convene a global assembly of experts, policymakers, and advocates committed to addressing critical and urgent healthcare challenges in Gaza. This conference was the third in a series of three planned events held to address the healthcare needs in Gaza.

Welcome to the KIT Institute Podcast from Amsterdam. This month our host, Bipasha van der Zijde, Content Strategist at KIT, is joined by Mayada El-Zoghbi, Managing Director of KIT Institute.

KIT recently partnered with the Gaza Health Initiative to address the immediate and early recovery needs of Gaza’s health system, which, after 10 months of war, is now in ruins.

Drawing on our expertise in global health and our convening power, we organised a conference in Amsterdam, aiming to amplify the impact of the Gaza Health Initiative by uniting donors, policymakers, knowledge institutions, and humanitarian and development actors.

Mayada led the team that organised this critical conference. In this podcast, we’ll be talking to her about the outcomes of this event and discussing how everyone—from organisations to individuals—can help ensure secure access to healthcare for the people of Gaza.
