IDH has contracted KIT Institute and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) to conduct a mid-term and end-term evaluation of IDH’s full corporate portfolio of programs. IDH is an international organisation that brings together public and private stakeholders with the aim to make global agricultural markets more sustainable and more inclusive.
In December 2024 KIT completed the mid-term review (MTR) of IDH’s corporate portfolio. The primary purpose of this mid-term review was to assess the degree to which IDH programming is on track to meet goals and objectives of their multi-year plan 2021-2025. This contributes to IDH’s organisational accountability to program donors and partners. Furthermore, the MTR contributes to learning by generating credible evidence on the requirements for successful implementation of IDH approaches and contributing to effective organizational responses in the coming years.
The MTR report illuminates IDH’s progress in driving systemic market transformation for better jobs, incomes, and environmental outcomes. It discusses some of the challenges related to achieving deep business practice change at scale and provides 13 recommendations to support IDH’s continued evolution.
