Study Design and Implementation
What is the impact of my organisation or project? How can we improve design or adjust our programmes to increase impact? KIT’s Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) for Social Impact team can design and implement studies to help you find answers to these questions.
Whatever knowledge you require to improve your impact, we are a one-stop-shop for research design and implementation. Research can help increase impact at every stage of the project: during design, implementation, and after finalisation.
Study Design and Implementation process
Customised study design
We always customise a study’s design according our clients’ knowledge needs. We have experience with applying a diversity of impact evaluation methods, including randomised controlled trials, double-difference designs, propensity score matching, contribution analysis, PADEV, and outcome harvesting. Qualitative and quantitative methods are often combined into one comprehensive research design to cater to the specific needs of each client.
Regardless of methodology, our goal is to help our clients learn and come away with actionable insights. We go beyond establishing WHAT is happening and find out WHY it is happening.
Data collection
KIT has been at the forefront of innovative data-collection methods and has in-depth experience with tablet-based face-to-face interviews (using Open Data Kit), phone and web-based surveys, and innovative tools such as Sprockler.
We also have a global network of trusted partners with whom we regularly collaborate on research projects. These partners contribute invaluable experience and context-knowledge. Together with them we can quickly and reliably obtain the data needed from all over the world to validate your impact logic.
