Dorine is a global development expert from The Netherlands, with more than fifteen years’ experience working on and researching health and development issues.

She previously worked with VSO as a programme manager and coordinator in Indonesia and later as a technical assistant with Mott MacDonald/Euroconsult in Yemen. Before joining KIT, she worked with Simavi, managing and developing programmes in Africa and Asia, such as the Get Up Speak Out (GUSO) Programme.

Dorine holds a master’s degree in Development Studies from the Centre for International Development (CIDIN) Studies in Nijmegen and a master’s degree in Public Health – Health Promotion from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).

Her passion and the focus of her work has always been Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, and she has substantial experience in needs assessments, stakeholder analysis, programme development & planning, and strong monitoring & evaluation skills. Dorine has developed successful partnerships with various local counterparts and has a strong track record working with both NGOs and governmental organizations and institutions, non for profit as well as business partnerships, in a variety of challenging environments.
