Welcome to the KIT Institute Podcast from Amsterdam. This month our host, Bipasha van der Zijde, Content Strategist at KIT, is joined by Shereen Abu Manneh, from Amman, who is the Secretary General of the Gaza Health Initiative
Shereen has worked in the healthcare sector for over 15 years and is one of the founders of this initiative.
In this podcast, Shereen tells is what that the GHI is, what led to the founding of this ‘Confederacy of the Concerned‘, and why she as a co-founder is so committed to this initiative.
One of the first things the GHI did when it was formed, was commission a report to assess the needs of the health sector in Gaza. Shereen also talks about some of the findings from this report and how the international community can support local and regional efforts to fulfil the basic healthcare needs of the people of Gaza.
