Internships

An internship at KIT Royal Tropical Institute is a great opportunity to apply in practice what you have learned during your studies or training.

Throughout the year there are internship opportunities available within our Knowledge Unit. We also often look for interns to work in our HR department. The internships will be posted on this page.

About internships within our Knowledge Units

Both knowledge units (Global Health and Sustainable Economic Development & Gender) offer research internships at different points of the year in line with the projects we work on. During your internship, you will substantively contribute to a project’s research aims, and this can often lead to a scientific publication. Our research internships often require that you are currently enrolled in a relevant master’s programme to apply and that you are permitted to work in the Netherlands (i.e., you are a resident, or have a permit and BSN). We only invite applications for the current internship vacancies we have available, which you can view below.
