fem-logoThe KIT Gender team and Femconsult are pleased to announce a new framework contract with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (Minbuza). The signed contract is the start for the KIT Gender team and Femconsult to provide gender expertise and knowledge services to the Ministry. The partners will provide their services jointly through the Gender Resource Facility.

The Gender Resource Facility’s key service will be responses to requests for gender advice and support from Minbuza. This also includes international requests from Dutch embassies. The partners will support these requests using the Facility’s shared experience. They will also draw on international experience, and create relevant gender-focused information. By doing so they be able to share this the Ministry and the wider development community and benefit a wider range of organisations.

As a result KIT and Femconsult are looking to enroll diverse gender experts from the Netherlands. The are also looking to enroll gender professionals from countries supported by Dutch development assistance. The anticipated formal launch date of the Facility is September 2014.
