KIT’s Marjolein Dieleman appointed Associate Professor at VU University, Amsterdam
Marjolein Dieleman has been appointed Associate Professor at Amsterdam’s Vrije Universiteit (VU) as of November 1, 2017. Marjolein will combine her role at KIT, where she is senior adviser in the Health Systems Strengthening team, with her new university role, at the VU’s Athena Institute. https://science.vu.nl/en/research/athena-institute/index.aspx. The Athena Institute’s mission is to scientifically study and design interfaces between science and society. Marjolein will teach and coordinate the Governance for Global Health module within the Master’s in Global Health Research programme. She’ll also supervise PhD students and conduct research on health systems and human resources for health in low and middle-income countries.
“This combination gives me a unique opportunity to bridge back and forth between theory and practice and will create new opportunities for collaboration on aspects of health research, particularly in health systems,” said Marjolein.
