KIT Café

Located within KIT in Amsterdam East, next to Wereldmuseum Amsterdam and Oosterpark, KIT Café is the perfect place to enjoy great coffee, a quick lunch or a relaxing break in a unique setting. Housed in KIT’s monumental building, it combines character, quality and a welcoming atmosphere.

Every day, we serve freshly prepared sandwiches, homemade sweet treats, and excellent coffee and tea. Whether you’re stopping by for a short break, meeting someone or looking for a comfortable place to work, you’re always welcome at KIT Café.

We carefully select our products and work with local suppliers, with a strong focus on quality and sustainability.

KIT Live

KIT Live features two dance and music studios, a 180-seat theatre, a podcast studio, and KIT Café: a café serving coffee and lunch, open six days a week, from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.

The studios at KIT Live are home to Kids van Amsterdam, a dance and music school for children and young people from the local neighbourhood.

KIT Live is located in KIT’s monumental building and has its own entrance on Linnaeusstraat. Visitors to Wereldmuseum can also access KIT Café directly from inside the museum.

KIT Theater

The KIT Live Theatre is an intimate venue with fixed tiered seating for up to 180 guests. Its fan-shaped stage is ideal for debates, presentations, film screenings, workshops, and smaller dance and theatre performances. The theatre has its own entrance at Linnaeusstraat 2 and shares its foyer with KIT Café. Since December 2023, the theatre has been upgraded with a new, user-friendly lighting system and a modern digital audiovisual installation.
