KIT in 2024
2024 was a year of transformation and impact at KIT. Here are some highlights from the year:
Celebrating 60 Years of Public Health Education
This September, we celebrated the 60th anniversary of International and Public Health education at KIT. The highlight of the celebration was our annual graduation ceremony, where we honored 70 graduates from our Master of Public Health and Master of International Health programs.
In September, KIT hosted the Uniting Knowledge, Resources, and Solidarity: Gaza Health Initiative conference. This gathering focused on supporting Palestinian-led solutions to rebuild Gaza’s healthcare sector while catalyzing global solidarity to address the long-term health needs of Gaza.

Welcome to KIT Live
This year, we opened the doors to our newly renovated theater: KIT Live during the 24Uurs Oost festival. KIT Live is a vibrant stage for art, culture, and debate in Amsterdam—a hub for local initiatives and events that align with our mission of promoting inclusion and sustainability in the city.
One of the most visually striking changes of the year was the launch of our new branding and website in April. This new branding reflects our evolving mission—find out more about why we decided to make this change below. Not only did KIT undergo rebranding, but so did one of our flagship courses, Feminist Edge – Professional Development for Gender Trainers. This course also welcomed a new cohort of aspiring gender trainers this year.
