We are very pleased to announce that Michiel Leijenaar has joined KIT’s management team as Campus Director.  
Michiel has worked within the wider cultural sector since 1999. He is in his element where culture, entrepreneurship and serving the public, partners and other stakeholders come together. 

Michiel has a long-standing interest in sustainable development. As Chairman of the Safety & Facility Management Department of the Dutch Museum Association, he was one of the first to champion the sustainable museum as the new standard. As Director of AKN Foundation and founder of ‘M-homebase for the media-minded’, a new media campus in Hilversum, Michiel worked on the redevelopment of what is now one of that city’s most sustainable media buildings.

In line with his commitment to sustainability and inclusiveness, Michiel will strive to create an environment on the KIT campus that is both welcoming and inspiring.
