New KIT CEO
We are happy to announce the appointment of a new CEO, Henri van Eeghen, as of 1 January 2023. He succeeds Mark Schneiders, who will retire from KIT at the end of 2022.
Henri van Eeghen has extensive international experience, both in the private sector and as director of non-profit organisations like the Dutch development organisation Cordaid, the American Mercy Corps, and most recently, the Synergos Institute, an international philanthropy network.
“Henri van Eeghen is an internationally respected leader who links entrepreneurship to social causes” says Paul Strengers, chairman of KIT’s Supervisory Board. “We look forward to working with Henri on the effort to further build KIT’s international profile and impact as a centre of expertise, education, and hospitality for a more sustainable world”.
With the appointment of van Eeghen as CEO, KIT bids farewell to Mark Schneiders, who has been at the helm since 2014. KIT is very grateful for his decisive leadership during KIT’s transition from a subsidy-driven organisation to a financially independent organisation dedicated to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals at home in Amsterdam and internationally.
