SDG Action Day 2019
On 25 September, more than 500 people gathered at KIT Royal Tropical Institute for SDG Action Day 2019. The full-day programme brought together CEOs, young professionals, sustainability experts, students, and visionaries with the aim of creating partnerships and driving action on the SDGs in the Netherlands and globally.
SDGs in Focus
The packed agenda featured speakers from across the SDG spectrum – from national SDG coordinator Sandra Pellgrom and SDG moonshot winner Lisa van der Geer to Nienke Meijer (Chairman of the Board of Fontys Hogescholen) and Aynouk Tan.

KIT at SDG Action Day
KIT hosted a workshop dedicated to SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-being at SDG Action Day 2019. Led by Lindy van Vliet – the head of KIT’s global health unit and national SDG 3 Alliance coordinator – the workshop explored the single largest threat to global health: non-communicable diseases.
