Social media: KIT swaps X for Bluesky

After more than 14 years of active presence, we have decided to discontinue our use of social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and start an account on Bluesky.

This decision reflects our commitment to fostering meaningful engagement on platforms that best align with our values and community. We feel that X no longer provides that.

“X has become a cesspool of unmoderated content, including rampant promotion of violence, bigotry and racism,” says KIT’s marketing communications director Maarten van den Berg. “Staying on X has become incompatible with the values we cherish in our mission for a more inclusive world.”

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has followed, engaged with, and supported us on X over the years. Your conversations, shares, and feedback have been invaluable in spreading our mission.

While KIT will no longer be active on X, our outreach continues across other platforms. We warmly invite you to stay connected with us on LinkedIn and follow our newly launched account on Bluesky. We look forward to connecting with you on these and other channels as we continue to build a better, more inclusive world together.
