Supervisory Board resigns; new members appointed

The Supervisory Board (SB) has collectively and unanimously decided to make its position available. This decision was taken last weekend and subsequently reported to the Council of Members.

At the request of the Council of Members, the SB initially postponed this decision.

However, the SB has noted for a longer period of time that necessary changes in the organization have failed to materialize, despite several attempts to achieve them. The SB therefore considers it in the institute’s interest to immediately implement its earlier decision to make its position available.

The SB regrets this now unavoidable decision as the SB is committed to KIT’s mission. The Council of Members thanks the members of the SB for their important efforts and commitment to KIT over the past years.

The Council of Members has asked Mr Paul Strengers to assume Chairmanship of the SB temporarily, which he has accepted. Mr Strengers was Chair of the SB from 2018 to 2024 and knows the organisation well. He forms the SB together with Jack van de Winkel, who makes a move from the Council of Members to the SB.

At the same time, the Council of Members announces that as of 22 May, the CEO position will be temporarily taken up by Mr Miltiadis Gkouzouris. Mr Gkouzouris brings extensive experience as CEO of HVA International and is a long-time member of KIT’s Council of Members. He resigned his seat on the Council of Members upon his appointment with immediate effect.
