As the gender partner of the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF), KIT is working on gender mainstreaming the WCF’s cocoa livelihood programme (CLP) in West Africa, while supporting cocoa industry and technical partners to improve their outreach to female cocoa farmers.

This study examined the gender dimensions of agricultural mechanisation in Ethiopia and Kenya in order to inform future interventions. A competitive research grant from the CGIAR Research Programme MAIZE funded the study.
