Facilitating a Shared Political Context Analysis

This background note is prepared for programme officers and facilitators of a programmatic cooperation or alliance who are organising a shared political context analysis. Such an analysis is an inquiry into the actors and institutions (political, legal, societal etc.) that shape inequalities, cause rights violations and produce patterns of exclusion experienced by marginalised groups. The aim is to identify the root causes of these issues and identify priorities for change, thus providing a solid basis for strategy development.
