UHC/SRHR targets and indicators

The assignment was aimed at producing a mapping of targets and indicator measuring progress on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) within the framework of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

Results

A total of 9 frameworks were found that included attempts at monitoring or evaluating SRHR and UHC in some form or relation to one another.

Lessons learned

Overall, the GPW13 WHO impact framework and the Guttmacher Institute’s framework can be concluded to be the most comprehensive attempts to suggest indicators and targets for monitoring and evaluating progress towards SRHR through UHC. Galati (2015) provides an interesting consideration of the gaps and limitations in attempts to monitor and evaluation SRHR through UHC thus far and has made a comparatively strong attempt to address these in the suggested framework.
