Anne has a background in Development Economics from Wageningen University. For her MSc thesis, she was part of the Agriculture for Nutrition and Health (A4NH) programme in which she conducted a consumer behaviour study on food consumed outside of home in Vietnam. Anne has also worked as an intern at the Netherlands Embassy in Jordan.

After graduation, Anne briefly joined KIT to evaluate the International Responsible Business Conduct on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She then became part of the traineeship at Wageningen Economic Research in which she worked as junior researcher on projects focusing on the food system in low- and middle-income countries.
