Gitta van der Meer

Gitta van der Meer is an all-round international development advisor. She is an experienced partnerships and program developer and an expert in ethics, governance, risk and compliance.

Holding a university degree in Law from the University of Groningen, she started her career in 2004 working as a lawyer specialized in intellectual property. In 2011, she switched to the aid and development sector and has since worked with start-ups, NGOs, social enterprises and institutions, managing projects, grants, relations and organizations with a focus on sustainable development, global health, access, innovation and impact in over 20 countries across Africa, Asia and South America.

Gitta currently works as Performance and Risk Manager, servicing a portfolio of projects funded by UK Aid Match, a Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office ODA fund providing grants to UK based NGOs operating in low- and middle-income countries, and fragile and conflict affected states.
