Maria Vitores
Maria brings more than 10 years of experience in financial inclusion, particularly in the areas of consumer protection and financial education.
She has worked at regulatory level, contributing to the development of consumer protection regulations in Ghana, and at policy levels with central banks, state governments and policymakers providing technical assistance for the implementation of financial inclusion strategies and the development of financial education initiatives. She has more than 20 years of experience in South Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa in other areas such as private sector promotion activities mainly targeting micro and small entrepreneurs to access finance and business development services.
Maria holds a Law Degree and a PhD in Migration studies focusing on Ethnic Minorities Entrepreneurs and Self-employed.
