Marian Meller
Marian Meller is a Development Economist with a PhD from University Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). He has more than 15 years of experience in producing evidence and advice to measure and enhance the impact of public and private sector cooperation in low- and middle-income countries.
His work in sustainable economic development spans private sector development (especially agricultural value chains, financing, entrepreneurship, and innovation), food systems, livelihoods, and food security and nutrition.
Working in consulting and academia, Marian has co- and lead-authored more than 25 complex evaluations and impact assessments with a wide range of clients and research partners, including publications in peer-reviewed academic journals. He is well versed in applied econometrics, rigorous impact evaluation, field surveys, as well as qualitative methods. He has conducted numerous field missions mainly in East Africa/the Great Lakes region, Latin America, and South/Southeast Asia.
