Silvia Sarapura-Escobar

Silvia Sarapura-Escobar, PhD, is an interdisciplinary academic and experienced researcher working on the integration of gender transformative approaches in agricultural innovation systems. Her work contributes to the integration of gender in agricultural research and practice, including programming. 

In her work, she makes use of participatory approaches, capacity development, and stakeholder engagement to generate impact and sustainability in the livelihoods of small scale farmers -including women, youth, and indigenous groups. Silvia has extensive experience working in Latin America, Africa, South-East Asia, Canada, and the Netherlands with public organisations, the CGIAR, and regional and local groups.
